EPW - Hessen a Paris, verge fusee, 45mm, 18K rose gold (tested) OF original case with attractive but restored enameled scene to rear of a woman outdoors at night, white enamel inset to bezel, green gold decorative detail to rear perimeter and bezel, white enamel dial with winding aperture at 2, KWKS, verge escapement, gilt mvt with pierced and foliate scrolled two-footed balance bridge, no visible s#. Gross weight of assembled watch 35.9 dwt (55.8 g).
CONDITION:
Mvt: Running, excellent cosmetic mvt condition overall, excellent gilt tone, scratches adjacent pillar locations, few fine scratches elsewhere, mild oxide to coqueret; dial with patched chips around winding aperture, hl from winding aperture to center, hl from center to 8:30; fine hands of differing gilt tone; case shows little wear, no dents or dings, rear scene with soft enameled restoration with original detail of scene largely intact but with evident restoration of its upper portion and sizable areas of restoration of its surrounding design as evidenced by lesser quality gold foil work of restored areas, white enameling of bezel with scattered areas of loss that has been crudely filled in a less than ideal color match; bow pivots freely; good domed glass crystal.
